Microsoft released a game-changing service called Windows 365 on the 2nd of August and on the 4th of August Microsoft, has just decided to freeze all Windows 365 trials due to its unbelievable popularity. Windows 365 if you are not familiar with it, is a cloud PC system. It is a PC in the cloud that you can rent for a fixed fee per month no matter the usage, I say this as Microsoft also have a service called Azure Virtual Desktop which is charged on a usage basis and the pricing can fluctuate. This technology is a game-changer in our opinion as it will bring extra security and lower hardware costs to all businesses that have implemented a strong BYOD policy. Here is what Microsoft has to say about freezing the service.
“Following significant demand, we have reached capacity for Windows 365 trials,” reads a statement from the Microsoft 365 Twitter account. “We have seen an unbelievable response to Windows 365 and need to pause our free trial program while we provision additional capacity,” explains Scott Manchester, director of the Windows 365 program management.
In order to access the service you will have to pay for it, if you go down this route you can have access to a Cloud PC with 2vCPU, 4GB RAM, and 128GB of storage for a small fee of £26.40 (ex VAT) a month.
