Our client, a leading provider in the care sector, was determined to take a digital leap. They wanted to offer Android tablets to all their customers to digitize and improve the quality of their care services. This ambitious project aimed to roll out 200 tablets, requiring careful planning, execution, and the implementation of a robust Mobile Device Management (MDM) system to ensure the devices' safety and usability.
The move towards digitization was complex. The client needed an efficient solution to manage and secure the devices, requiring the setup of policies, onboarding procedures, and security protocols. Furthermore, the tablets needed to be physically prepared for the users, with protective cases and screens applied to ensure longevity and durability.
We adopted Microsoft Intune, a trusted MDM service, to manage the tablets. We began by onboarding the devices onto the Intune platform, establishing a controlled environment where the devices could be monitored and managed centrally.
Next, we focused on policy development and testing. We designed and implemented policies to ensure that the tablets were secure and could be used safely by their customers. These policies were rigorously tested before deployment to ensure seamless performance.
On the physical preparation side, each tablet was outfitted with a protective case and screen to enhance durability and protect against damage. This measure was essential given the diverse range of users and settings in which the tablets would be used.
The project yielded significant outcomes:
- Successful Deployment: We successfully rolled out 200 Android tablets, all fully equipped with protective gear and pre-configured for immediate use.
